Boingy Boingy I'm a brave pony

Bouncy bouncy fun fun fun, the wonderful thing about Bugsy's is, I'm the only one! A little modifcation of the Tigger song to better suit me. I'm really good at bouncing over hay bales. Not sure why we do it, but it is fun. I went to visit my friends at the horse ranch yesterday, and I looked and learned about all kinds of things. I was quite scared of the measuring stick but I'm not sure why. I'm a weird pony, what can I say! The best bit was my jumping though, look at me go. I have to bounce a little after each jump to show how smart I am! These were not my best jumpies either!

Today we went walkabouts in the neighbourhood to see what we can find. I made new friends who have apples in their yard, so I snacked while Cyd chatted with the lady. She has two ponies, and currently a visiting pony at her house. And she knows a way to trails and said she would show Cyd so she can take me, and sometimes takes her ponies in a trailer to ride somewhere called Caspar, and said she would take me if I want! I think that's a great idea for when I'm a bit bigger and smarter at pony-riding. It was hard to reach to get the apples, cos the person feeding me has teeny tiny t-rex arms and was worried I might eat his fingers off, so even though I climbed up high he threw the apples instead. I found most of them, they were delicious, even the one that boomped my face.
I'm like a giant up here
I also met someone on a bicycle who cycled really hard up the hill. We passed him later and he asked if it was okay to pass me like that, and he didn't know the etty-kets for ponies and bicycles so would we please tell him, then he can't make ponies or their people mad. I told him, then searched his bike all over in case he was stashing energy cookies somewhere. He smelled a little funny, apparently he smokes some weeds, which is silly cos Cyd always tells me to not eat the weeds but who knows. My neighbours are very odd. I hadn't smelled it before so sniffed a lot and got pet. I was really brave when the great big huge truck came by, and when the scary dog chased me. It was a breed that has a bad reputation, and whilst I do not like to judge pets by their type, this one wanted to get me! Cyd boomped him with the knot on the end of my leadrope and yelled really loud to make it go away. Train your puppies, stupid heads. Or at least get a fence. I was minding my own business in the street, nowhere near your house. So nuh!
What are you looking at?

Lusterized! And kittens..

Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday dear myself, Happy Birthday to meeee! It was my birthday on Monday, I turned four, and CYD FORGOT!!! I didn't get presents, or extra cookies, or anything! :( But I did get a new cookie toy that didn't arrive until Monday night! Now I have two cookie toys!

In the box was the stuff that smells like bacon that is good for growing my hair better, and some more belly stuff to go in my food and help the good bacterias so I don't get tummy ache and help me stay fat and shiny and... Hair & Coat Lusterizer! It came by magic cos we didn't order it for me. So today I got lusterized. Look how shiny I am even though it's not sunny today:
Once I was lusterized and smelling like bacon and had my hair combed and feet shined, we went to go sit on the blue monster. We didn't fight with it today, just hung out. I had an itchy lip, and decided Cyd's jods were the perfect place to fix it:

She has an itchy leg too, cos she got bit by a yellow jacket yesterday; serves her right for going to play with other ponies that are not me. Next year I might get to go play (if they let me, I have to be quite grown up for that!). In the meantime I just settle for snubbing her. Forgetting my birthday and riding other ponies! Shun!

There are new friends in my neighbour-ponies field:

Cyd counted four of them and the mummy cat. They are hiding near the little barn where our hay lives, and she went to fill my water tubs. Hopefully they're not all scaredycats now and run away to a new place. Luckily they're tucked away where none of us ponies can get to them, and the puppies will have to stay away for a bit. They're so cute :D

My New Cape

HayHayHay! How are you? I'm amazing (as usual!). Look how shiny I am these days:

Really really ridiculously good looking ;)
I had a great lesson this morning. It started out terrifying. Turns out the blue monster that I thought I killed by trotting on its face came back AGAIN! It shows up every so often, but I just stomp it so it's no problem. Not this time. It attached itself to Cyd and was chasing us around my field. I made sure she had my rope held tight so I could drag her away if need be.  Stupid biped does not give these terrors the respect they deserve. We dragged it around a bit to knock the fight out of it, or so we thought. We clearly didn't do good enough, cos it jumped on Cyd's head where I couldn't see her. I tried my very hardest to save her, but the monster dug its heels in and held my face so I couldn't. And you know what? It was all a trick. They ganged up on me to pretend she was being eaten, when really she was trying to tell me the monster was okay. I wasn't too sure about that nonsense.
"Are you ok in there?"
Especially what came next. Cyd said it was time to practice being a superhero, and to stand really still like I was getting my saddle on, or my blanky. Except the blue monster is a louder and not as snug and comfy as my blanky so it's not the same at all. I got quite dizzy the first few times, because once I'm nervous of something it takes a while for me to trust it again. Eventually I stood still while I got patted, and the blue monster rubbed my shoulder. It started sneaking up on my withers and I wasn't sure of that so ran in teeny tiny circles again, but since it didn't run away I stopped. I settled for snorting really loud like a dragon pony at it, while it snuck further over my back. It was creeping everywhere.
"Umm, really not too sure about this..."
I was really not sure of this game at all. Even worse, Cyd then pulled it up my neck. She said it was my new cape and I was like a superhero. I didn't get my picture that time cos I didn't want to be left by myself and it was getting a little breezy which made my cape rustle super loud and got me scared. Since there was just two of us doing my lesson I don't get a personal photographer to get some of my clever or silly moments. Cyd should get on that...

Clever Riding Pony

Yippee! I love August, it's my birthday month! I will be four in a few weeks. That means that (assuming my brain is doing okay) I can start doing some big boy stuff like going on my first ever trail ride and learning more new things. I've decided (as I can being a nearly-grown-up) that instead of being tied up, I prefer to hold my own rope. I know I'm not supposed to leave, so what difference does it make if I'm tied?
So far all my learning stuff has been in little bursts, then I take a break for a while. I went for a pony ride in my field today. It's a big space compared to the place where I practice my circles. There are ponies living right by where I do circles, and that distracts me a lot so we didn't go there. I have my very own blue saddle pad now, so today was my first day wearing all my own things, except my loaner bit. Don't I look good in all my gear?

Once I was appropriately cleaned and dressed, Cyd put me on my long circle rope for a few minutes. We practiced just using voice cues and I did really good (but we do variations on this every day so I guess it's not big deal). I don't have any pictures of our pony ride cos we had no help today, which is part of why today was so good for me - nobody for me to follow. I usually have a security person to cuddle when I get confused but not today, which also means they couldn't take my picture. Even though I haven't been ridden in a long time, I stood really still for Cyd to get on. She patted me for being a good pony, and after a minute got off, but on the wrong side from usual. Then she moved the mounting block to the other side of me and got on from the wrong side too. I looked at her funny but I guess it's nothing special, and apparently is good for us both to practice. We rode for nearly 20 minutes, which is a long time for me, usually I start cloud watching or looking for my neighbour friends and generally getting confused. I concentrated really hard, and we did walking and stopping. Then we practiced bending my head so I'm looking at Cyd's feet while I stand there. She says this is good for me too, like when I do my yoga stretches. Then we practiced going left and right. This is the first time I've been able to figure it out completely by myself. We started combining all my skills; walk, go left, stop, walk, go right, go left, go right stop, walk, stop. I have to say, I am pretty amazing at pony riding. Cyd was really pleased with me too, and gave me scratches and cuddles and... cookies!! Of course :) I also have a new toy, which I lovelovelove. I get to roll it about all over the place, and cookies come out!. I figured it out really fast, but then saw where the cookies come out and thought I had found a shortcut to just get the cookies.
I was wrong. But now I keep rolling the ball just underneath the electric fence, just barely a foot away, but too far for me to get it back. Rubbish!

Not my best side...
