Hello everybodies! Can you believe it? I am not always the most amazing pony ever. In fact, I have a confession to make...
Sometimes I'm a really BAD pony!!!!
Then I have to make faces like this to be sure Cyd still thinks I'm cute enough to keep around (don't worry - she does!)
I'm super sorry for being bad...
Me and Cyd went to do pony riding on my trails all by ourselves without any friends. We've done this a few times, and I'm super brave. Cyd led me up the road and through the squirrelly trail, then hopped on up and off we went. We started out having a lot of fun, look at my happy ears:
I did a super cute thing with some butterflies that Cyd tried to video, but she wasn't fast enough and they flitted away. They were fluttering about being butterflies and flew into my cheek. I tossed my mane at them and they fluttered into my face. I watched them and when they went away from me I did some mini trotting to chase them, and tried to boomp them with my nose. Uncle J said this means I probably also like glitter and would enjoy listening to something called ABBA, but I don't get it. I also had a tasty snack of some log
nomnom
After a bit further on the trail, I got a bit stuck having to go across some waters, but we made it (though Cyd had to get off me). Then I got really stuck. Like not moving at all. Not moving so much that Cyd ended up having to call my Aunty V to get some unsticking ideas. Um, I didn't like some of the ideas, and demonstrated my opinions with some slightly explosive upward movement. I practiced some airborn antics quite a bit on this pony ride. After a while of us going forward Cyd turned us around and we headed for home. I got more stuck. I even got stuck so bad that Cyd got off me and just sat quietly with her eyes leaking cos for me being so bad and us being all by ourselves. I kept going and nuzzling at her and being cute. Eventually we made an agreement on going home again, and finally eventually made it. Some of it was even quite fun. Look, happy again:
We were enjoying ourselves again
I can't be perfect all the time, and I'm still doing lots of learnings cos for only being young. Luckily, I'm usually mostly super awesome, so Cyd still loves me :)
Hey everybodies! How are you? I am my usual amazing self, but a little sleepy from my yesterday adventure. I did my most miles ever, and quite a bit of trottings and some quite fast canterings and some big hills. Thanks Aunty V and S for letting me and Cyd tag along, we had so much funzies.
Napping still
Cyd came and woke me up quite quite early, before it was even 8:00.
Time to get up!
We got me thoroughly brushed (Aunt-T and Cyd primped and preened me the night before but I did some rolling hehe). I got my saddle and my bridle and Cyd's helmet and we were ready to go.
We went down to where my friends live to meet Aunty V and Aunty C, who both had guests riding. I started snacking right away.
We were all going to share a trailer, and I would tag along with Aunty V's group. But first Cyd had to help get the other ponies ready, so she left me tied in a box stall so I was safely out of the way, not causing mischiefs.
I don't really like being in stalls
Cyd had brought me extra of my stable mix so I got some breakfast mash to occupy me. Soon Boscoe and Citron and Voltaire and Treve all had their saddles and the people all had their lunches and it was time to go.I took a few minutes to think about getting in the pony trailer, but not too long so as to be super annoying. Cyd says I have to get quicker though.
In the pony trailer, let's go!
We drove a little ways, and some on a bumpy road, then it was time to get out. I got tied up next to Treve and we made friends.
Treve and me, we made a good team
"What's up there? Snacks?"
Aunty C and her riding person went first so we weren't bunchied together. While we finished getting all our sandwiches and carrots packed another pony arrived to go riding. That person's truck was all smoky, but a man from CalFire was there as well making sure we didn't go to the trail they were working on, and he checked it wasn't on fire. This made quite the activity for the beginning of my first ride in six weeks. I was super tense, and Cyd told Aunty V she felt like she was sitting on a firework ready to go off. But I showed her up and behaved myself really well, just carefully looked around at everything. I got in a bit of a pickle at the first stream crossing, but Aunty V put me on a rope and I followed Big Brave Treve across. I did all the others by myself though. Once I was in, I was set free to go by myself.
Look, I'm in a stream
Following Voltaire
Voltaire following me
We did our warming up loop, and then we have to go past the trailers to get to our trail. There was another trailer with two more ponies, so now three ponies. They had a big dog and a little dog that came running towards us. They just wanted to say hi but I got a smidgen nervous. We told the people I was only young and they called their dogs back and hung on to them while we went passed so I wouldn't get scared. Thank you!
It's pretty here
We enjoyed wandering up the trail, it was very pretty and quite warm. It was time to do some trottings. I went in the middle like a Bugsy sandwich so we could assess how my brain was doing now that I had relaxed a bit, and I trotted really good. Voltaire and I took it in turns to be in the middle, mostly I went in the back for practice at not racing and trying to overtake or crowding the leader ponies. I had been on this trail one time before when we were with Ike and Aunt-E, but it was super dark then and I had to tell Cyd where to go cos for her not being able to see. There was a scary bathtub that had water in so we could all get a drink, we were a bit sweaty already. We walked a bit more, and had to make a decision. Do we go the bit shorter way to lunch that is very pretty, or do we go the bit longer way on the 'hobbit trail' and 'dinosaur valley'. We asked S since it was her ride, and she picked the hobbit trail. I went the other way last time so it was new to me. We did a little bit of some trottings and some canterings, and then it was adventure time. I had to concentrate really hard and it was a bit slippy. Cyd didn't help me much cos she was videoing it:
The video doesn't do it justice at all! The hobbit trail comes out at the stream, and I marched on up to get a drink by myself.
I was quite thirsty
Everyone laughed at me for putting my face all the way in the water, sometimes halfway in, sometimes all the way up to my eyeballs.
Up to my eyes
I got it in my eyes
Blowing bubbles hehe
Once you go through the stream two times, you come to Dinosaur Valley. My picture didn't come out super good here but you get the idea:
Totally velociraptors hiding here
We were nearly at our lunchtime rest stop, so I grabbed some extra snacks along the way.
Aunty V and Treve
S and Voltaire
Where are you going?
We all three got tied up at hitching rails under the trees and Cyd gave me carrot snacks. I didn't get to hang out with the people this time, I stayed in my spot. We kept an eye on them in case they left us in the woods though.
We're watching you!
We did selfies after lunch
After lunchtime we had to go up a really steep hill. There is a choice of really steep, or a rock face trail. Since it was a bit slippy we didn't do the rock face trail. I had to take a couple of rests to make it all the way to the top, but I did it. It was soon time to do more cantering. Cyd decided to take some video of me doing canterings, look at me go!! (Excuse her telling me to take it easy, I got a little bouncy the second time).
After lunch, Cyd wasn't quite feeling her usual somewhat composed self cos for eating some funny food. She got quite confused, and I could tell something was amiss. I behaved really well, and only had mini baby moments cos I had to take care of her. We were nearly home to the pony trailer, where we met back up with Aunty C. The people all had a nice cold drink before it was time to take us home. Once I got back I was super thirsty.
Must drink all the water
Hey Boscoe, how does yours taste?
I got my saddle off and I was really super sweaty under there.
I worked hard today
While I waited for my turn to shower, I started refilling my belly
Then I got made clean again
Then it was time to take me back to my field. Cyd took me right down to my sandy rolling pit, but I didn't make it all the way in the sand before flopping down:
After the first itchies were taken care of, I rolled three more times to be good and relaxed.
This feels so goood
Shaky shake, look at my nose hehe
When I was done I bolted back up my field to get even more water to drink, then hung out with Cyd for more cookies, I earned them today. I look really good for having been on an all day long adventure:
Cyd had to go back to where my friends live to get her saddle and truck and bring me my dinner mash. Once she got back I came flying over to the fence to prove I wasn't tired.
Wheee
Troubles is, I fell asleep at my bucket when I finished eating it. I always come right back to my shed for cookies and hay foods, but Cyd caught me napping. The picture is a bit dark, but my eyes are closed...
Thanks for letting me practice pony riding with you S and Aunty V, we had so much fun! Can we go again soon?
I want ALL the attentions! Cyd is not giving them to me! She is mean mean mean! I've only done work two times this whole month and I'm really good at doing work mostly. Though both those times I did Bad Things to demonstrate that baby ponies need more stimulus than I am currently getting and I am bored bored bored. I did get to meet Aunty C a lot, she came to help give me snacks, and give me bath time cos for me being super dirty and shedding my winter hairs out so all itchy. But this is why you have not heard from me in ages. I am being left out :( However, I look really super good in slow motion movie, especially at the end when I swing my pretty little head all around, even if I do have my grumpy face on:
Don't show Uncle J, k? He'll just call me Tinkerbell again (or make fun of my expanding waistline, I'm a bit chubby cos for not doing any workings). He thinks he's so funny. He told Cyd I was being a brat; she didn't believe him and said it's just cos I know he doesn't love me and didn't want to be feeding me that day. He says he likes me just fine, but he doesn't think I'm super special, and I act up when he's around. This makes him think like maybe Cyd might get hurted. He worries too much. Poor Uncle J being a worry-wort. Do I look like a monstrosity pony to you?
Hey everybodies. How are you? I am very good thank yous. I am taking a Bugsy-break right now. Cyd is been busy with visitors of her daddy and his friend who came last week and this week until Friday. They went on a people holiday that I couldn't go on so Uncle J and Aunty V agreed to both take care of me for her. There was some bad bad unadventures happening near my house so Uncle P had to take care of me too - three care takers for one Bugsy for four days! I am special. [I am fine and did not get hurt in the bad bad unadventures but a good person did and everyone is sad, and a very bad person got hurt too.] Cyd saw seaponies on her people holiday, and I got to hang out in my field and eat my food. Next week will be my playtime some more and hopefully going pony riding or pony hiking. Then Cyd is leaving me again (again!) to go ride a different pony for 50 miles and then 50 miles again, and another England visitor comes, my Aunty C who I didn't meet yet but Cyd says she is something called 'bestie'.
My new pets
So sorry to maybe try to kill the fishies :(
You know how I have my pet kitties cos they were born at my birthday in my house and live in "my" (Uncle J's, that I ate) boat? Now I have pet fishes too. Aunty B put them in my water tub and we let it run really low (not so much so that I got thirsty) so it was not too wasteful for cleaning time. She had to scoop out my fishes before draining the tub so they didn't get dead, and put them in a bucket. I helped to look for them cos for being super helpful. We found them, and Cyd scrubbed my tub and made it shiny again and refilled it. My fishes stayed in the bucket so the hose didn't swirl them up too bad. While it filled, Cyd went to clean my poop away and left me to my own devices. Bad idea! She looked up after a few minutes and I had tipped over the fishes bucket and was pushing one with my nose in the dirt. Cyd had to come running over and make me get out the way and neither of us step on the fishes and get them back in the water. She couldn't catch them so had to kinda flip them back into the bucket and splosh them back in the big tank. They just bobbed around for a bit and she called me a fish murderer and I got quite sad. Eventually they started swimming about and I went and watched them for a bit. Then it was time to play! Look at me go!!
Wheeee I had an another awesome day in... SunShines! Hope you are all doing fabulously, bugsy-fans. Friday I got my saddle on, even though I was super gross (Cyd needs to get a shedding blade!) and we went to where my friends live. Cyd had stopped by earlier to drop off a breakfast bucket for me and she tagged me to the pony trailer with my snacks and we waited for everyone to be ready (not long). I waited super patiently like a grown up but did not get in the trailer like a grown up so now we have to practice so I get super good at it again. We went to another new place called Orca which is a huge big field where the cows live overlooking the ocean. There are tons of awesome trails there, today we explored on Panorama trail with my Aunty V riding Raven pony and a nice guest lady, E, riding Zvesda pony. I had a lot of looking to do, and did some spooks, but in a silly way. We were all walking politely together, and one of the cows said 'mooo' and it startled Raven, so he jumped, which startled me, so I jumped. Silly us! Another time we all did spooking cos there was a turkey vulture that flew out the creek from where we couldn't see it, but none of us jumped too bad. I was really brave by the dead cow, but it smelled gross. There was a couple of water crossings today. The first, Cyd got off me cos I did reversing, and I jumped over quite fast. The next one, Cyd didn't get off, and Aunty V went behind me and waved her arms and I jumped about 8' wide by 3' high like a jumping pony! Lucky Cyd used to do jumping so didn't hurt my mouth or my back. The next one she got off me again, and I didn't want to go, but then I realised that Raven and Zvesda were keeping on up the trail, Cyd told them we'd catch up when I got over myself. Oh no, you don't leave a Bugsy on the trail, BOING! Cyd ran with me so we could catch up before getting on again. I did really good at trottings practice today, and I got to practice doing canter. I got so awesome by the end. The hills are a bit long for me so I did some trotting (and on one I even did some walking) but I don't freak out at being left behind. Just catch my breath and off we go again. Panorama trail has an island on where you can look all arounds you. I was quite disoriented and the people laughed at me.
How amazing is this?
We took a short break, and Cyd got off and sat on the floor while Zvesda was a super model pony. I did snacking, and was super itchy. I know just how to fix itches, down I go, this roll will feel sooo gooood.... Then Cyd is jumping up and going "No no no Bugsynooo" That meant my rest was over, she got back on, and we did some pictures too. On our next bit we got to see some cows kinda close and take our picture with them and the oceans and the sunshine. Next we go down a hill and I can see the pony trailer! But, wait, we're going the wrong way. Down the hill and go right, not down the hill and go left. Maybe if I stomp my feet Cyd will realise. Nope, I get told off. Let's try doing bouncing. Nope, that gets me yelled at, and told how rude I am. *sigh* Time to give in, might as well be excited about where we're going. We stopped in a lovely little area with grasses and a creek that I had a drink and soaked my hoofies in the cold water. Felt really good. The people took us over to trees and I borrowed a rope from Aunty V so my reins could get fixed and we got tied up.
Um why did you leave me here?
That was boring, so I chewed Aunty V's rope. I didn't give up, and in the end Cyd came to fetch me and I got to have lunch with the people at the table. I tried turkey and swiss cheese sandwich, and grapes, and the blue and yellow kind of m&ms. Not a sandwich fan, but the rest was delicious. I got to hang around and eat grasses while the people digested their foods and drank their water. We just had a short bit of pony riding to do after lunchtiming, including one more canter where I made it the whole way except for a couple of strides of trot cos the ponies in front paused briefly. I am getting so strong. We headed home past even more cows and stopped and looked at them. There was a baby cow watching us. He was quite a long way from us, but not next to his mama cow. He darted back over to her once we were passed by, and I did scooting forwards kind of spook cos I didn't expect it. Silly me. We also had a minor discussion about getting in the pony trailer again, so this is next on my practice list. I got back home, and Raven and Zvesda were headed to the beach, and I was heading back to my house. I started getting stuck in the driveway and we did my things for unsticking just one time and I was fine then. Cyd had to sponge me off cos I was sweaty and gross and it was too cold for a full shower. We went to my sand pit so I could un-itch myself, then get my second bucket of the day. Must have been a big adventure to get TWO buckets. Cyd forgot to shut off my tracker at lunch time but never mind. Aunty V's pictures are here!
