Sunday's Ride

These are my neighbour ponies, Sheri and Smokey
Hey everybodies, how are you? I went on a pony ride on Sunday, and did super awesome. It was super exciting that lots of other ponies and dogs were there to go on a different pony ride, but I didn't get too silly at all. I had to go over a noisy metal bridge on the road that went clang clang and Cyd had to get off me and Aunty V had to bring her pony back over the bridge so I could follow his tail. I was really nervous to put my feet down each step cos for the noise but I did it :) I went up some super steep hills, and did trotting and cantering and not bucking and went in the front and in the back. Ta Da! On the way back we were cruising down the trail, doing trotting, and I had a bounce and my saddle slipped up my neck a bit so I did some bucking which made it slide further. Cyd stayed on and called to Aunty V that we needed to stop so we did. Then Cyd said she was going to get off to put my saddle back in the right spot, and put her hand on my neck to stabilise cos for my saddle being in the wrong spot and I put my head down to eat some snacks and you know what she did? Roly polyed down my neck and fell down splat like a star fish. Bucking is no problem but dismounting is clearly beyond her capabilities hehehe. She landed in stinger nettles and poison oak (which luckily poison oak doesn't get her sick) so she was all itchy and has a bruisied Bee-Hind. I didn't run away and leave her but my Aunty V jumped off her pony to come catch me just in case. We got Cyd brushed off and fixed my saddle and off we went again with no more troubles. Cyd did some videoing (not like Aunty V's) and it is bouncy cos for her doing posting and she was videoing when I did my bucking hehehe.

We had so much fun on my pony ride, thanks for taking us Aunty V. And Cyd just discovered that my GPS tracker will tell her my overall in my lifetime stats, look this is all my trails I ever rode added together:
I have learned so much in 22 pony rides!
I also want to tell my Aunt-T that I'm really super sorry that she is sad and that me and Cyd loves her lots and she can come hug me and hide in my house any time she likes! When you want to go adventuring we'll go pony riding, k?

Speedy Ride

Well hello everybodies. How are you all? I am fabulous. I just wanted to share my pictures from this morning's pony ride. Me and Cyd were going to go for a quick adventure, then Aunt-T and her favouritist pony came too. Yay friends. We did my short loop super fast cos for them having to go do their people jobs so Cyd can buy me all my things that I want. I did posing for action shots today, but made some funny faces cos for me and Cyd walking the wrong way down the trail then just waiting until Aunt-T said "GO!!" and we flew past to make action pictures :) I did so really good today, the peoples were very proud of me and said how grown up I was. Enjoy looking at me :)

K, are we ready?

Yeah Again!!!!

Hey, how is everybodies? I know I just wrote to you this morning, but once Cyd was done with my typing she came to see me. We were going to attempt a solo pony ride. We got me brushed and tacked and ready to go, which was very tiring...
Can we maybe nap first?
K, now I'm ready
Cyd brought a long stick with her called a dressage whip in case I was a bad bad pony again. We walked up my street to go to my trails and I behaved most of the way. I did a little bit of my stopping on the squirrelly trail before Cyd even got on me, but she poked me with the long stick. She nearly decided to just go to the end of the squirrelly trail and take me home again if I was acting up already. But then I started walking mostly pretty good, appropriately in my box even, so we continued. Cyd got on me and off we went. It was so pretty today.
There were a couple times I kinda maybe thought about stopping, but Cyd gave me a boomp boomp with her feet and if I didn't go right away she gave me a tap tap with the long stick. I waggled my ears in offense but hopped right to it. Mostly I was very forward going today, and Cyd mostly let me pick the pace. She told me that it was special that I got to do that cos normally it would be very bad. But my goal at pony riding is forward motion so if I want to do trotting I get to do trotting. Wheeee. Except the downhill, she made me walk then so my legs don't get hurt. We went down my bumpy trail, and I did really super good. We had a quite strong discussion about me going into the woods, but Cyd thinks that might be cos for it not really looking like a trail and before it did look like a trail. She did boomp boomp tap tap boomp tap tap and I did bounce bounce and then we were on our way again. She did get off to take me over the ditch, which I did in nearly record time, but got a bit stuck going down the stupid little hill so it balanced out pretty good.
I don't want to go down there...

If I shut my eyes she can't make me
Once we got to the field we had a little rest cos for me doing so good, and it's my favourite place to snack.
We could see the ocean but it's not showing in our picture
Cyd got back on me and off we set again. I took my time going up the big hill cos for it being rocky and me being a bit tired today. I need to practice wearing my booties so my feet don't get owchie. I had some daisy snacks at the top, and we did selfies when I took breaks.
Cyd is such a poser
But s'ok, I am too
NomNomDaisies
We had some more discussions on the way home, and one quite active debate involving some taptapping and some bucking and some reversing and some name calling but we got over it, and another one further up about going over some water but not so bad cos Cyd was leading me before we got into a fight so it's okay. I did some dragon impressions on a bit of the trail I go on twice on every ride here, Cyd didn't believe me that there was something super scary. I didn't really act up, just put on my best dragon face and huffed and puffed. Of course, there were some rattly leaves and a breeze and I am an Arab after all so maybe there was nothing there really. Or maybe there was a bear and I heard or smelled it and it hid so Cyd couldn't see, we saw tons of poop and they are good hiders. But we continued on home, and even had a little canter. Cyd rode me all the way down the squirrelly trail, and even all the way down the road.
Not even a bit scared!
She didn't even get off me to open my gate, just pushed it open then rode me in a circle to push it closed again, but not all the way cos for it needing a special not-on-a-pony technique, just practice closed. She was so pleased with me and tried to take my picture but I kept yawning:
Worked.So.Hard....
I got rid of my saddle, got a little sponging cos for being sweaty under my saddle, and Cyd took me to my rolling pit, but I decided I didn't want to roll yet I was starving!
Wheeeee
I ran straight to the spot where Cyd gives me my mashes and stayed there, and whinnied at her everytime she came into view until I got my snacks. After eating I was pretty tired, I shouldn't work myself so hard next time maybe.
My GPS tells us how much time I was out total, and how much time I was moving. The last time we tried to pony ride when we got in a big fight and made Cyd sad I was out for 2h26m and moving for 1h44m and we did five miles and a little bit. Today I was out for 2h21m and was moving for 2h11m and went seven miles. Much better! I'm gonna go nap now!

I'm Awesome Again :)

Oh my goodness, this post is late. Cyd is such a slacker, this pony ride happened six days ago but she was too lazy to sort out the pictures and do my typing. I went on a new kind of adventure with LOADS of friends. We had to go in the big stock trailer, which I wasn't too keen on going on the ramp so did a funny hop that everybody laughed at.

All my friends
I had six friends, and me, so seven ponies total. The most I've been with before has been three ponies total. I didn't get too overexcited, and sometimes I went at the back, sometimes second from the back, and sometimes second from the front.
I didn't go in the very front in case I got stuck, and I didn't go in the very middle cos for some cute girl ponies who might try to kick me. I had to be in a gelding sandwich with ponies I've met before so as not to cause troubles.

There were some logging trucks driving by, and one didn't see us ponies waiting at the side of the road until he was super close and didn't slow down. Only one pony got scared (and it wasn't me), usually they slow down really good for us. Then once we all had our riders we set off to the trail down the road, and a logging truck came. There was nowhere for us to get out the way so he had to wait for us. I was at the back with my Aunt-T, and she and Cyd boomped knees some cos for me trying to snuggle into her pony for safety. I did some prancing and ear wiggling, but mostly was brave even though the big noisy truck was sneaking along right behind me. The beginning of our pony ride was uneventful, I needed some help from Aunt-T to get over a log that was chainsawed that morning so looked and smelled funny, but otherwise I did super good.
Too busy snacking to pose
It was really super toasty and we went up some big hills in the sun, so Cyd poured a little bit of her water on my neck to cool me down, but she had to drink most of it to keep herself cool too. There was a spot with a puddle and we ponies got to drink from it, but I was a bit scared and had to watch everyone first before I splashed my face in there. We practiced trotting and cantering, and I practiced bouncing and bucking. Cyd usually does 'two-point' cantering up the hills to help both our balancing, but then she nearly fell over my head when I did a buck. Aunt-T was laughing at me a whole lot.
Pony selfie. Cyd forgot to smile :/
Pony kisses
Looking at the oceans
"Cookie?"

Looking how high up I am
I did be a bit silly and nearly walk off the edge when we were super high up cos I was too busy concentrating on my snacking to pay attentions. Luckily I know to use Cyd's leg like a barrier so we didn't fall to our doom.
Hanging out with new friend Whisper while the peoples pee and stretch
Sometimes I got left behind when we did cantering cos for not being as fit as my friends yet, and sometimes Cyd made me just do trotting either cos for my brain being a bit feisty or for me not realising how hot it is and getting out of puff. The trail comes out in a nice field that at the moment has really tall snacks.
No need to stretch for these snacks
Cyd had no stirrups and nearly slipped over my face (again)
Thanks for my snazzy browband Aunt-E
Once we were done having a little snack, we had to go on a little trail around the field (the gate is locked and there's no gap for ponies to get around anymore, Uncle F has the key but Aunty V doesn't). As we were riding down the road, Cyd put my rope on me and handed it to Aunt-T. We were going adventuring to the creek. I got in pretty quickly cos Aunt-T had me and I just followed her pony, then she set me free cos once I'm in I'm not scared. We had to go across where it was deep, and where it was shallow but running fast. Then it was really pretty, and some places up to my belly!
Cooling off after a sweaty pony ride
I'm learning how to splash
Then it was time to get back in the pony trailer and go home for a shower and a roll and a snack.
Sunbathing after my shower while Cyd helps put my friends away
Rolling in my sand pit
Hehehe not so clean anymore :)
Cyd and Aunt-T went running next, then came back to see me for giving me more snacks. I was pretty tired by then.
So so sleepy
My top speed today was 27.7mph. That's really fast for a growing up pony! No wonder I'm super tired. Time for some days off of napping in my field and eating all my food!
